Na is a Korean filmmaker living in Detroit.

Growing up in Seoul, she spent most of her time reading Japanese manga, which helped inspire her sense of visual storytelling. At age 15 her father bought her a camcorder and from that moment on she became enamored with the process of filmmaking. She started as a documentarian and enjoyed telling stories about social issues in her home country. She moved to the US at age 27. Her international background has helped her develop a unique perspective and style of visual communication. She creates very believable characters, situations and scenes that fit right into her cinematic and provocative style. Her approach is to always consider the mood of a scene and the structure of the story while trying to find the emotional heart of what makes her characters relatable.
